The new all-singing all-dancing Sumo Play

Although there are many changes, the principal objective of the new version was to build on the success of the previous version. We believe that adapting to the new version will thus be very comfortable experience for you and in particular - your favorite games remain unchanged, so you will be able to play them just the way you did until now. Let us now look in more detail at what's changed.
Game catalogue
The new version offers you more than 4,000 online games, well-arranged in many categories represented by so-called tags; that allow you to look up games that you enjoy the most. Also, you can now comment on and rate games. Games can be sorted by the number of players, date added, rating and in alphabetical order. Multiplayer games are sorted by default according to the number of players; all other games according to date of release. If you are looking for a specific game, it is sufficient to specify a part of its title in the search box and you will be presented with a list of results right away (e.g. enter 'beje' and within a few moments the first result you get is "Bejeweled" - one of the most popular games ever produced). You can go back to the page from the search results by clicking on the cross to the right of the search box.
Messenger and talking avatars
If you are familiar with instant messengers like ICQ, Skype or Live Messenger, you should get used to the Geewa Messenger before long. It is located on the right side of the page and serves for challenging other players to a game, private chat and group chat within the available rooms. The upper part marked as "Users" contains lists of players (in a room or in your friends list), the lower part marked "messages" shows the actual chat within a room, announcements (messages sent by admin) and private chat which you have initiated from the user list or which have come from a specific user. Your chat room is automatically selected for you based on your current game, or you may pick it yourself from a list of more than 30. If you do not want your room to automatically switch upon entering a game, simply "pin it" (a small button to the left of the room list). Under each user, you can find the buttons to challenge the player to a game, leave chat, see profile, and once in profile then add/remove from your friends list and add/remove from your blocked list.
Messenger also includes your talking avatar. In contrast to classic instant messengers, Geewa messenger does not display smileys as pictures, but instead directly into the avatar of the message sender. A talking avatar is thus your virtual me and apart from the Messenger it will also represent you in some games (such as Abaku). An avatar can be modified from within your profile page.
Leagues
Leagues are newly available in all multiplayer games and they give priority to a player's quality rather than the time spent playing games.
The following are common to both multiplayer games (live and ghost):
- league takes place from Monday to Sunday in seven rounds (one round per day)
- each player may play at most 10 matches in each round
- the league result table is based on the sum of attained points in seven league rounds - days
Additionally, the following applies to live games (e.g. Word Soccer, Climber, Pool etc.):
- an opponent is assigned to a player by Sumo Play only
- a player gains 2 points for a victory, 1 point for a draw
- all matches count to the daily score (i.e. the daily maximum is 20 points)
Additionally, the following applies to ghost games (e.g. Solitaire, Sudoku etc.):
- the goal is to have the best score in the given day
- you thus have 10 attempts to reach the best score
- other players score with which your score is compared can be found in a leaderboard of best scores or else Sumo Play will show you the closest one
- in a league round, you get a point for each opponent with a worse score (e.g. in a round with 100 players the first one gets 99 points)

Sumo Play works best in the latest version of the most popular browsers
We recommend you to use one of the most recent versions of the below browsers. Of course, all have a Czech/English interface, are more secure, but most importantly - they run Sumo Play significantly faster than the older versions.
At the same time, we recommend you to have installed the most recent version of the Flash Player plugin.

Your e-mail address, the game in which you have experienced problems, and in particular information concerning your configuration are automatically filled in. The lower section also offers a link to help, which we will continue to expand in form of frequently asked questions; we would thus like to ask you to first check the help and see if your problems or question has not already been resolved by somebody.
